COURSE CURRICULUM

The East Asian Business MSc is structured around a combination of core and elective modules that provide students with both practical experience and theoretical knowledge in East Asian business and economic contexts. The core module, Business Project, allows students to engage in a substantial research or applied project, integrating their learning and developing skills in analysis, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making. Students also choose one module from East Asian Research Methods or International Business and East Asia, gaining either a strong foundation in research techniques specific to the region or a deeper understanding of international business strategies and operations within East Asian markets. Additionally, students select one module from Work and Organisation in East Asia or Perspectives on East Asian Economy and Business, enabling them to explore workforce dynamics, organisational practices, and economic developments in the region, or to critically assess macroeconomic and business trends that shape East Asian economies. Together, these modules combine practical experience, analytical training, and regional expertise, equipping students to understand the complexities of conducting business in East Asia. Graduates are prepared for careers in international business, consulting, trade, finance, and management roles, as well as for further academic research, with the knowledge, skills, and regional insight needed to navigate and succeed in East Asian markets.
