COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence MSc is structured around a set of core modules that provide both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity. Core modules include Scalable Machine Learning and Machine Learning and Adaptive Intelligence, which equip students with the skills to design, implement, and optimise AI systems for analysing complex datasets. Text Processing and Natural Language Processing develop competencies in handling and interpreting textual data, enabling applications in AI-driven cybersecurity solutions. Fundamental Security Properties and Mechanisms, Development of Secure Software, Cyber Threat Hunting and Digital Forensics, and Security of Control and Embedded Systems provide students with a thorough understanding of security principles, threat detection, secure coding practices, and the protection of both software and hardware systems. The program emphasizes practical skills through hands-on projects, programming exercises, and applied research, preparing students to address real-world security challenges. The Cybersecurity and AI Dissertation Project allows students to conduct independent research or development work, integrating knowledge from both AI and cybersecurity domains. Together, these modules prepare graduates for high-demand roles such as cybersecurity analysts, security architects, AI specialists, software developers, and data analysts, equipping them with the technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills required to innovate, protect digital systems, and advance in a rapidly growing, technology-driven industry.
