COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science with Speech and Natural Language Processing MSc is structured around a comprehensive set of core modules that provide both theoretical understanding and practical expertise in the field of language technologies and artificial intelligence. Core modules include Text Processing and Speech Processing, which equip students with the skills to analyse and manipulate written and spoken language data. Machine Learning and Adaptive Intelligence and Scalable Machine Learning provide the computational foundation for designing algorithms and models capable of learning from data, while Professional Issues develops an understanding of ethical, legal, and societal considerations in technology. The Team Software Project allows students to collaborate on real-world software development projects, fostering teamwork, project management, and practical problem-solving skills. Speech Technology and Natural Language Processing modules focus on the design and implementation of systems for speech recognition, synthesis, and language understanding. The Dissertation Project serves as a capstone experience, enabling students to conduct independent research or development work, integrating the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program.
