COURSE CURRICULUM

The Clinical Neurology MSc includes a series of specialised modules that provide in-depth knowledge of the nervous system, neurological disorders, and their clinical implications. Applied Neuroanatomy and Clinical Neuroscience offers a detailed understanding of the structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous systems, linking anatomical knowledge to clinical practice. Cerebrovascular Disease and Disorders of Consciousness explores conditions such as stroke, vascular malformations, and disorders affecting awareness, focusing on pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management strategies. The Neuroinflammation and Diseases of the Peripheral Nervous System module examines inflammatory processes within the central and peripheral nervous systems, their role in disease development, and therapeutic approaches to conditions such as neuropathies and autoimmune neurological disorders. Neurodegeneration focuses on progressive neurological diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and other dementias, providing insights into underlying mechanisms, clinical presentation, and emerging treatment options. Together, these modules integrate fundamental neuroscience with clinical applications, equipping students with the ability to understand complex neurological conditions, interpret research findings, and apply evidence-based approaches to patient care.
