COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sheffield MBA is structured to provide an immersive and practical learning experience across two semesters. In the first semester, students engage directly with live company projects through the Marketing Consultancy Challenge, applying theoretical knowledge to real-world business situations. Core modules in this semester include Accounting and Financial Management, Managing Organisational Behaviour, Operations Management, Global Managerial Economics, The Intelligent Organisation, Marketing Consultancy Challenge, and Personal, Professional and Career Development. These modules establish a strong foundation in essential business functions while fostering professional skills and networking opportunities to support career growth. In the second semester, students further develop their consultancy and leadership abilities through the Internationalisation Challenge and the Individual MBA Challenge, working with local clients to create global impact. Core modules include New Venture Creation Challenge, Strategic Management, Effective and Responsible Leadership, Internationalisation Challenge, Individual MBA Challenge, and the continuation of Personal, Professional and Career Development. Additionally, students tailor their learning by selecting two elective modules from options such as Human Resource Management, Strategic Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Organisational Crisis Management, allowing them to focus on areas aligned with their career goals. The program combines academic rigour with practical application, preparing graduates for senior management, consultancy, and leadership roles across diverse industries worldwide.
