COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM in International Law and Global Justice equips students with a deep understanding of the legal frameworks, principles, and institutions that govern international relations and promote justice globally. Core modules such as Legal Research and Writing Skills and the Dissertation provide students with essential tools to critically analyse legal issues and undertake independent, in-depth research on topics of relevance to international law. A wide selection of optional modules allows students to tailor their studies to their specific interests and career goals. These modules cover key areas including international dispute settlement, corporate social responsibility, the use of force, WTO law, trade law and government procurement, and company law and corporate governance. Students can also study the principles of international law, international organisations, and the protection of foreign investment, as well as specialised subjects such as international trade law, the law of the sea, data privacy, environmental law, humanitarian law, and criminal law. Emerging areas such as law and AI, legal technology, and cyber law are also included, reflecting the evolving challenges of global governance. The program blends theoretical knowledge with practical legal skills, preparing graduates for careers in international organisations, government, non-governmental organisations, or further academic research in global justice and international law.
