COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLB Law program is structured over three years to progressively develop students’ understanding of legal principles, practical skills, and critical thinking. In the first year, students are introduced to core areas of law including criminal law, constitutional law in the UK and EU, contract law, and dispute resolution, as well as contemporary issues in law and justice. This foundational year establishes the basic knowledge and analytical skills required for further study. In the second year, the focus shifts to deepening understanding of legal concepts, exploring the relationship between law, justice, and ethics, and further developing practical legal skills. Core modules cover subjects such as land law, tort law, law, justice, and ethics, and the individual and the state. Students also have the opportunity to select optional modules in areas such as advanced constitutional law, administrative law, EU law, and criminal law, allowing for specialization. The third year emphasizes independent study and advanced legal knowledge, with core modules including equity and trusts and research-focused projects on law and society. Students can choose from a wide range of optional modules to concentrate on areas of particular interest, such as family law, international trade law, policing, advanced torts, and jurisprudence. Overall, the program balances foundational knowledge, ethical and societal context, and specialized study, equipping students for a career in law or related fields.
