COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management BA provides students with a comprehensive foundation in management and business principles while developing the practical skills needed for a successful career. In the first year, students gain a broad understanding of core subjects, including organisational behaviour, business economics, management, and accounting and finance, alongside developing analytical skills through modules such as Analysis for Decision Making. The Career Development Planning module supports students in building professional skills and preparing for future career opportunities. In the second year, students can choose to specialise in a particular area or follow a generalist pathway, with core modules covering business strategy, marketing, organisational studies, and operations management, and optional modules offering topics such as international business, human resource management, leadership, enterprise, and law for management. The third year focuses on applying knowledge and skills through the Final Year Challenge, where students tackle complex, real-world business problems. Additional optional modules allow students to tailor their studies to areas of interest or gain a broader perspective, with topics including creativity and innovation, strategy practice, digital marketing, project management, decision sciences, responsible business practices, internationalisation, and work-related health and wellbeing. This structure ensures graduates are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, ready for careers in management, consultancy, marketing, and related fields.
