COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Statistics program offers a comprehensive curriculum combining advanced theoretical knowledge with practical applications in statistical analysis. Core modules such as Statistical Theory, Linear Models with Nonparametric Regression, Generalised Linear Models and Survival Analysis, Multivariate Statistics, and Design and Analysis of Experiments provide a strong foundation in key statistical methods, equipping students to model, interpret, and analyse complex data across a variety of contexts. The MSc Dissertation allows students to apply these skills to independent research, developing problem-solving abilities and experience in conducting rigorous, data-driven investigations. Optional modules, including Time Series Analysis and Forecasting, Longitudinal and Spatial Data Analysis, and Statistical Machine Learning, provide opportunities to specialise in contemporary statistical techniques and emerging areas of application.
