COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Social Research Methods and Statistics program features a comprehensive curriculum that integrates methodological theory with practical statistical training. Core modules such as Statistical Foundations, Introduction to Statistical Modelling, and Complex Survey Designs and Analysis equip students with the essential quantitative skills to manage and interpret large and complex datasets. Methodology and Research Design, along with Survey Research Methods, develop the ability to design rigorous research projects and apply appropriate analytical techniques. Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods complements the quantitative focus by providing insights into mixed-method approaches, enhancing the depth and breadth of social research competence. The Dissertation module allows students to conduct an independent research project, applying the skills and methods learned throughout the program to a real-world or theoretical problem. Optional modules such as Topological Data Analysis, Privacy, Confidentiality and Disclosure Control, and Longitudinal Data Analysis provide opportunities to specialize in advanced areas of data analysis and research ethics.
