COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills in managing people within organisations. Core units provide students with expertise in workplace research and analysis skills, allowing them to critically evaluate HR practices and policies, while modules such as HRM: Strategy and Practice and HRM: Context and Organisation focus on linking human resource management to organisational goals and understanding the broader organisational environment. Students gain in-depth knowledge of employment practice and equality, industrial relations, and international and comparative employment regulation and law, equipping them to navigate complex HR and employment issues in diverse settings. Optional units allow further specialisation, including international human resource management, comparative industrial relations, and human resource management in Asia, providing insights into global workforce management and cross-cultural considerations. The program integrates academic learning with practical applications, preparing students to address contemporary HR challenges and to contribute strategically to organisational success.
