COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Communications and Signal Processing program provides a comprehensive understanding of modern communication technologies, signal analysis, and system design. Core modules such as Foundations of Communication Systems and Signal Analysis, Digital Communications Engineering, and Wireless Communications and Mobile Networks establish a strong technical foundation in communication theory, digital transmission, and mobile networking. Applied Digital Signal Processing and Antennas and RF Systems further develop practical skills in signal manipulation and radio frequency design, essential for advanced telecommunications and electronic engineering applications. The Dissertation module allows students to conduct independent research, integrating theoretical knowledge with real-world engineering challenges under expert supervision. Optional modules such as Machine Learning and Optimisation Techniques, Digital Image Processing, Microwave Circuit Principles and Design, and Networks and Internet of Things offer opportunities to explore emerging technologies and interdisciplinary applications, from intelligent systems to advanced microwave and IoT network design.
