COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Commercial Project Management program is designed to provide students with the technical, analytical, and managerial expertise needed to lead and deliver successful commercial projects. Core modules such as People and Organisations, Fundamentals of Project Management, and Project Planning and Control develop essential leadership, teamwork, and planning skills for managing complex business environments. Project Management Research Methods and the MoP Dissertation equip students with the ability to design, conduct, and present independent research, fostering a strong foundation in evidence-based decision-making. The modules Commercial Management and Contract Management focus on key aspects of financial control, procurement, negotiation, and legal frameworks that underpin effective project delivery. Students also have the opportunity to tailor their learning through optional modules, including Smart and Sustainable Infrastructure Management, Risk Management, and Project Finance for Infrastructure Projects, which explore emerging industry challenges and sustainability considerations. Together, these units combine theoretical understanding with real-world application, preparing graduates for professional roles in project consultancy, contract management, and commercial leadership. The program emphasizes strategic thinking, problem-solving, and practical project execution, ensuring students can efficiently manage resources, control risks, and optimize performance in both private and public sector organisations.
