COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Clinical and Health Psychology program offers a blend of theoretical knowledge, research skills, and practical experience through its structured module framework. Core modules include Critical, Creative and Comprehensive Research Methodologies, Critical, Creative and Comprehensive Research Analyses, and Critical, Creative and Comprehensive: Systematic Reviewing, which develop students’ ability to design, conduct, and critically evaluate psychological research. The Psychology in Clinical Practice 1 module introduces key concepts in clinical practice, while Health and Society explores the interaction between psychological and social factors affecting health. Professional Issues: Academic Skills and Professional Issues – Workplace Skills prepare students for professional and academic environments by enhancing communication, ethical awareness, and workplace readiness. A major component of the program is the Dissertation, allowing students to conduct independent research under expert supervision, integrating theory and practice. Optional modules such as Psychology in Clinical Practice 2 and Mind and Body provide opportunities to deepen understanding of applied clinical approaches and the relationship between psychological and physical wellbeing. Together, these modules offer a comprehensive education in clinical and health psychology, equipping students with advanced knowledge, research expertise, and practical skills needed for careers in mental health, clinical settings, or further doctoral training.
