COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Linguistics course offers a comprehensive program designed to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical research skills in the field of linguistics. Core modules include Research Methods I and II, which provide students with the foundations to conduct rigorous independent research, and a Dissertation, allowing students to apply these skills to an original research project. The program also includes Introduction to Grammatical Theory and Phonetics and Phonology I, providing essential grounding in the structural and sound systems of language. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies to specific interests, including Psycholinguistics, Experimental Phonetics, Topics in Child Language Development, Language Policy and Planning, and Topics in Romance Linguistics. These options enable students to explore areas such as language acquisition, speech analysis, applied language policy, and the structure of Romance languages.
