COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA in International Education offers a comprehensive program designed to develop expertise in educational systems, policies, and practices worldwide, combining academic study with practical insights. The course provides a strong foundation in research and analysis through core modules such as Engaging with Education Research, Educational Research Methods and Design, and Theories of Teaching and Learning, equipping students with the skills to critically evaluate and apply educational theory and evidence in diverse contexts. The Concepts and Practices of International Education module enables learners to explore global education systems, policies, and challenges, fostering comparative understanding and intercultural awareness. Students also complete a dissertation, allowing them to conduct independent research on an area of personal or professional interest, consolidating their knowledge and research skills. Optional modules offer further specialization, including Digital Media and Information Literacy, Blended Learning in a Digital Age, Digital Literacy in Language Teaching and Learning, Psychology of Language Learning, and The Education of Language Teachers, supporting professional development and enhancing expertise in educational technology, language teaching, and innovative learning approaches.
