COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA in International Education (Curriculum and Pedagogy) equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and engage with educational systems, curriculum design, and pedagogical practices in a global context. The program is designed for those seeking to develop expertise in international education, curriculum innovation, and teaching and learning strategies. Core modules provide a strong foundation in educational research, enabling students to engage critically with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and to apply these insights to curriculum development and pedagogical decision-making. Students explore theories of teaching and learning, the internationalisation of curricula, and the practical concepts and practices that underpin education in diverse cultural and institutional contexts. The course also offers a dissertation component, allowing students to pursue in-depth independent research on a topic of personal or professional interest. Optional modules enable further specialization, including digital media and information literacy, blended learning, digital literacy in language teaching, and the psychology of language learning. Delivered within a collaborative and internationally diverse cohort, the program encourages cross-cultural understanding, critical reflection, and the application of theory to practice. Graduates are prepared for leadership, curriculum development, educational policy, teacher training, and consultancy roles, as well as further academic research in international education.
