COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Digital Technologies, Communication and Education program provides students with an in-depth understanding of how digital technologies influence teaching, learning, and communication in educational contexts. Core modules, including Educational Technology and Communication, Digital Education Research 1, and Digital Education Research 2, develop students’ ability to analyse, design, and evaluate digital education initiatives, combining research skills with practical applications. Optional modules, such as Theories of Teaching and Learning, Introduction to Educational Video Production, Digital Media and Information Literacy, Blended Learning in a Digital Age, Teaching and Learning Online, and Digital Literacy in Language Teaching and Learning, allow students to specialise in areas such as pedagogical theory, multimedia production, information literacy, blended learning approaches, and online teaching practices. The program emphasises both theoretical and practical engagement, enabling students to apply digital tools and strategies to real-world projects in individual and group settings. Students also develop critical research skills, learning to evaluate technological applications, interpret educational trends, and assess the impact of digital innovations on learning outcomes. Graduates leave equipped with the knowledge, technical competence, and professional skills required to lead digital education initiatives across schools, higher education, training organisations, and educational technology companies, contributing effectively to the design, implementation, and evaluation of technology-enhanced learning environments.
