COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Creative and Cultural Industries program offers a comprehensive understanding of the management, policy, and development of creative and cultural sectors. Core modules such as Cultural Policy, Theories and Practices in Creative and Cultural Industries, and the Dissertation provide a strong foundation in the study of cultural frameworks, industry practices, and independent research skills. Optional modules, including Digital Art, Business Strategies for Arts, Culture and Creative Industries, Art Markets, Creative Labour: Inequality, Diversity and Inclusion, Global, Cultural and Creative Industries, and Creative Producing and Managing Projects, allow students to tailor their learning to their interests and career goals, covering topics such as digital innovation, management strategies, market dynamics, and social issues within the creative workforce. The program also includes the opportunity for a Placement module, providing hands-on experience within a creative or cultural organisation, enhancing professional skills, and fostering industry connections. By combining theoretical study with practical application, the course equips students with critical thinking, project management, and communication skills necessary for success in cultural management, creative production, policy development, or entrepreneurial ventures.
