COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM Public International Law offers a rigorous curriculum that combines foundational knowledge, specialised study, and independent research to prepare students for careers in international legal practice, policy, and research. Core modules such as Foundations of International Law provide students with a thorough understanding of the principles, structures, and sources of international law, while the Dissertation allows students to undertake an extended piece of independent research, developing analytical, writing, and critical reasoning skills. Optional modules enable students to tailor their studies to specific areas of interest, including International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law, Global Economic and World Trade Law, Global Environmental and Climate Change Law, International Law and Security, International Courts and Tribunals, International Investment Law, and International Commercial Arbitration and Mediation Law. These options provide exposure to contemporary issues in international law, including human rights protection, economic regulation, environmental governance, dispute resolution, and international security. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical and analytical skills, the program equips graduates with the expertise to navigate complex legal and policy environments at national, regional, and international levels.
