COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM Law program offers a comprehensive and flexible approach to advanced legal study, allowing students to tailor their learning to specific interests or career goals. Central to the program is the LLM Dissertation, which provides 60 credits and enables students to undertake in-depth independent research under expert supervision. Students can also enhance their academic skills through the Academic Skills for Legal Studies unit. The curriculum covers a wide range of specialised legal areas, including International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law, International Sale of Goods, International Banking Law, Global Economic and World Trade Law, and Transnational Corporate and Capital Markets Law, providing a strong foundation in both public and private international law. Intellectual property and commercial law are also emphasised, with modules in Intellectual Property Law, Trade Mark Law and Policy, and Patent Law and Policy, allowing students to develop expertise relevant to global business, technology, and innovation sectors.
