COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Management (Accounting and Finance) program at the University of Manchester combines a strong foundation in management with specialised study in accounting and finance. In Year 1, students build essential knowledge through core modules including microeconomics, principles of marketing, financial decision making, financial reporting, management accounting, work psychology, quantitative methods, and management and organisation studies, alongside career development and professional case study modules. Year 3 provides advanced study and practical application through modules including international finance, financial derivatives, advanced corporate finance, share prices and accounting information, business data analytics, accountability and auditing, digital transformation in accounting, contemporary issues in financial reporting and regulation, consultancy projects, and empirical finance. The program emphasizes the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing graduates for careers in accounting, finance, auditing, consulting, corporate management, and financial services, as well as for postgraduate study, offering a strong foundation in both management principles and specialised financial expertise.
