COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Fashion Buying and Merchandising program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry, combining creative, technical, and business skills essential for careers in fashion buying, merchandising, and brand management. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through core modules covering raw materials, garment technology, fashion buying and marketing, fashion function and aesthetics, and management of the apparel pipeline. This prepares students to understand the complete lifecycle of fashion products from concept to consumer. In the second year, the curriculum develops practical and analytical expertise with mandatory modules in fashion buying and merchandising, garment production technology, fashion product development, operations management, and fashion business analysis. Optional modules such as digital branding, fashion brand promotion, buying communication, the in-store environment, and circular design allow students to tailor their learning to current industry trends and technological innovations. The third year focuses on strategic, project-based, and industry-relevant learning, including buying strategy, fashion business in the digital age, and business ethics, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. Students also undertake major projects in fashion, business, and technology to demonstrate applied knowledge and creativity. Additional interdisciplinary options in leadership, data visualization, language, and environmental history further enhance transferable skills, preparing graduates for dynamic roles in national and international fashion markets.
