COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Psychology course is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of the scientific, theoretical, and applied aspects of psychology, preparing students for professional or research-focused careers in the field. Core modules include Neuroscience of Behaviour, which explores the biological and neurological foundations of human behaviour, and Cognitive Psychology, focusing on processes such as perception, memory, attention, and decision-making. Personality and Individual Differences examines the variations in human traits and characteristics, while Social and Critical Psychology investigates how social, cultural, and environmental factors influence behaviour and thought. Lifespan Development covers psychological growth and change across the human lifespan, and Applications of Professional Psychology provides insight into how psychological principles are applied in real-world professional contexts. Students also develop essential research skills through the Research Methods module, which equips them with quantitative and qualitative techniques for designing, conducting, and analysing psychological studies. The program culminates in a Dissertation, allowing students to undertake an independent research project that demonstrates their ability to critically evaluate evidence, apply theory, and generate original insights.
