COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Legal Technology course is structured to provide students with a strong foundation in the transformative technologies shaping the legal sector. In the first two terms for full-time students, or across four terms for part-time students, the program focuses on core modules designed to equip students with both technical understanding and research skills. The module on Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain in Law examines how these emerging technologies are applied within legal contexts, exploring their impact on legal practice, contract management, compliance, and service delivery. Students gain practical insight into how AI and blockchain can enhance efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in law firms, in-house legal teams, and technology-driven legal services. Alongside this, the Research Methods Training module develops essential skills in academic and professional research, preparing students to critically analyse legal and technological issues, design evidence-based solutions, and engage with complex problems in a structured and methodical way. This combination of technical knowledge and research capability ensures that graduates are equipped to navigate and influence the rapidly evolving legal landscape.
