COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Computer Science (Conversion) course is structured to provide a strong foundation in core computing concepts while also developing practical and transferable skills for a wide range of technology-focused careers. Full-time students study a combination of computing and non-computing modules designed to build technical competence and applied understanding. Core computing modules include Applications of Artificial Intelligence, which introduces AI concepts and their practical use, Software Development, focusing on programming and development methodologies, and Data Management Technologies, which develops skills in databases and data handling. Web Technologies equips students with knowledge of modern web development tools and frameworks, enabling the design and deployment of dynamic web-based applications. Complementing these are non-computing modules such as Network and Cloud Management, which explores networking principles and cloud-based systems, and Data and Decision Making, focusing on data analysis to support informed business and technical decisions. The course culminates in the MSc Project in Computer Science, a substantial 60-credit module that allows students to apply their learning to an in-depth project aligned with their interests and career goals. This structure ensures a balanced blend of theory and practice, preparing graduates for IT roles across diverse industries.
