COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLB (Hons) Law Senior Status program is a two-year course structured to provide a comprehensive foundation in core legal subjects while allowing students to specialise according to their chosen career pathway. In Year 1, students study essential modules such as Contract Law, Legal Method and Skills, and Public and EU Law in Semester 1, followed by Business Law 1, Criminal Law, and Tort in Semester 2. These modules introduce key legal principles, including contract formation, criminal liability, company structures, and civil wrongs, while also developing important research and analytical skills. In Year 2, students continue with compulsory modules including Equity and Trusts and Land Law, which explore property rights and the management of trusts. Alongside these, students select options aligned with their chosen pathway. In Semester 1, one option is chosen, while in Semester 2, students select three modules based on pathways such as SQE and CILEX, Business, or Individual. Options include subjects like Criminal Litigation, Employment Law, Intellectual Property, Family Law, and Wills and Succession. Additional shared modules such as Civil Dispute Resolution, Legal Technology, and Legal Advice Clinic provide practical experience and professional development. Overall, the course offers both core legal knowledge and flexible specialisation opportunities.
