COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Management with Foundation Year is a structured program designed to build academic, personal, and professional skills progressively across four stages of study. The Foundation Year develops essential communication, digital, research, and employability skills, while also introducing sustainability, ethical awareness, and core business concepts such as management, organisational structure, and operations. Students also complete a foundation project that strengthens research, presentation, and reflective learning abilities, preparing them for degree-level study. In Year 1, students study core subjects including Essentials of Management, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Quantitative Methods, and Managing and Leading People, which provide a solid grounding in key areas of business. Year 2 expands into more specialised and critical themes such as ethics, corporate governance, economics, and social responsibility, alongside optional modules in areas like digital marketing, human resources, consumer behaviour, law, taxation, and financial markets. In the final stage (Year 3 or 4), students focus on advanced topics including global leadership, international strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, while choosing electives such as digital marketing strategy, business law, fintech, mergers and acquisitions, or undertaking a dissertation, internship, or sector project. Overall, the program develops well-rounded graduates with strong analytical, managerial, and practical skills for diverse business careers.
