COURSE CURRICULUM

This extended master's programme in International Business combines advanced academic study with practical industry experience to prepare students for leadership and management roles in global organisations. A key feature of the programme is the Advanced Practice module, which provides valuable real-world experience through vocational internships with external organisations, research and development placements on campus, or employer-led projects. These opportunities are designed to strengthen employability, professional skills, and practical understanding while allowing students to gain experience relevant to their career goals and aspirations. Throughout the placement period, students receive guidance and support from an academic supervisor and complete a reflective report to evaluate their learning and professional development. The programme also explores emerging issues affecting businesses and society, encouraging students to examine contemporary global challenges through perspectives drawn from business, marketing, social sciences, and the humanities. Inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, students critically analyse sustainability, social responsibility, and current international developments within a wider theoretical and practical context. An independent master's project allows students to apply academic knowledge to workplace or organisational challenges through a personalised research or work-based study, promoting reflection and continuous professional growth. The course develops an understanding of people and culture within organisations, focusing on how businesses can make effective use of diverse and highly skilled workforces while recognising the influence of cultural differences on individuals, teams, and organisational performance.
