COURSE CURRICULUM

The course combines advanced academic study with practical industry experience to prepare students for leadership roles in international business and management. A key feature is the Advanced Practice module, which provides opportunities to gain valuable real-world experience through research projects, employer-led work opportunities, and internships with external organisations, helping students strengthen their employability, professional skills, and career prospects. Students also complete a Business Project that allows them to apply their knowledge in a professional context by investigating real organisational challenges and developing practical solutions through independent and reflective learning. Contemporary Management in Operations and Finance explores the changing role of finance and operations within organisations, examining contemporary business pressures and their impact on management, reporting, and decision-making processes. Through Critical Business Inquiry, students develop strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills by learning how to conduct literature reviews, design research methodologies, and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to address complex business issues. The Reimagining Sustainable Management in Global Markets module focuses on responsible and sustainable business practices in an international context, exploring the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, environmental sustainability, economic policy, globalisation, international trade, and socially responsible business models. Students gain an understanding of how organisations can balance profitability with social and environmental responsibilities while adapting to an evolving global landscape. The Responsible Leader module encourages critical self-reflection and leadership development, helping students build responsible, accountable, and sustainable leadership approaches that promote innovation, organisational resilience, and agility. Throughout the programme, students develop strategic thinking, research expertise, ethical awareness, and decision-making capabilities, equipping them for senior management, consultancy, entrepreneurship, and leadership positions across a wide range of industries and international organisations.
