COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Human Resource Management programme provides students with an advanced understanding of people management within a rapidly changing global business environment, focusing on organisational culture, resilience, sustainability and responsible leadership. The course prepares future HR professionals to respond effectively to contemporary workplace challenges while developing strategic and ethical approaches to managing people and organisations. Students study Comparative and Cross-cultural Human Resource Management, which examines how cultural values, communication styles, attitudes towards hierarchy, decision-making processes and institutional differences influence workplace practices across different countries and regions. The People, Management and Organisation module develops knowledge of talent management, employee performance, equality, diversity and inclusion, organisational behaviour and workforce development strategies in modern organisations. Through the Critical Business Inquiry module, students gain practical research skills including literature review techniques, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data analysis and the preparation of professional reports aimed at solving real organisational challenges. The Reimagining Sustainable Management in Global Markets module focuses on responsible leadership, sustainability strategies, international trade, globalisation and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, enabling students to understand the relationship between business growth, social responsibility and environmental sustainability. A significant feature of the programme is the Business Project, which allows students to apply their academic learning to a professional issue of their choice while demonstrating independent thinking, reflective practice and problem-solving abilities. The university is a signatory of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education initiative, ensuring that ethical leadership and sustainable management principles are embedded throughout the curriculum.
