COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Forensic Accounting program provides students with specialist knowledge and practical skills in accounting, financial investigation, and dispute resolution, preparing them for careers in forensic accounting, fraud examination, and corporate governance. Core modules such as Forensic Accounting and Digital Applications focus on applying accounting principles and digital tools to detect financial irregularities, while Forensic and Fraud Examination develops expertise in identifying, analysing, and investigating fraudulent activities through a combination of coursework and practical exercises. International Corporate Reporting and Governance examines global financial reporting standards, corporate accountability, and ethical practices, equipping students to navigate complex regulatory environments. The Expert Witness in Criminal Litigation module prepares students to communicate financial evidence effectively within legal contexts, developing the skills needed to support investigations and legal proceedings. Elective modules, including Consultancy and Dissertation, allow students to specialise in areas of interest, conduct in-depth research, and apply critical thinking to real-world forensic accounting challenges. Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience through case studies, simulations, and independent projects, enhancing their analytical, problem-solving, and professional competencies.
