COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Biomedical Laboratory Science provides students with comprehensive training in the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of human disease, combining theoretical knowledge with extensive practical laboratory experience. The program emphasizes core biomedical concepts through compulsory modules such as Cellular Basis of Disease, Diagnostic Pathology, Applied Laboratory Practice, and Advanced Laboratory and Research Practice, which develop students’ technical skills, experimental design abilities, and understanding of disease mechanisms at the molecular, cellular, and tissue levels. Research and analytical skills are central to the program, with students undertaking an independent Research Project that integrates practical laboratory work with data analysis, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Elective modules, including Case Studies in Infectious Disease, Therapeutic Targeting of Cancer, and Data Science, allow students to specialize and explore contemporary biomedical challenges, preparing them for careers in research, clinical diagnostics, and biotechnology.
