COURSE CURRICULUM

The MRes in Pharmacology and Biotechnology is a research-focused program designed to develop advanced skills and knowledge for careers in pharmacology, biotechnology, and related biomedical sciences. Central to the program is applied laboratory practice, which equips students with essential hands-on experience, teaching techniques for accurate measurement, experimental design, and safe handling of biological and chemical materials. The Molecular Pharmacology and Biotechnology module explores the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underpin human health, disease, and therapeutic interventions, integrating cutting-edge biotechnological approaches with pharmacological principles. Research Design and Laboratory Practice enables students to independently plan, execute, and critically evaluate scientific experiments, fostering rigorous methodology, problem-solving abilities, and professional research skills. Research Development and Data Analysis further strengthens these capabilities by emphasizing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of experimental data, combining practical laboratory work with statistical and computational techniques to draw meaningful conclusions.
