The MA Filmmaking program offers a comprehensive and practice-focused approach to developing advanced skills in film production. Students engage with core modules such as Film Craft, which provides hands-on experience in essential filmmaking techniques, and Film Research & Development, where they explore the theoretical and practical foundations of creating compelling narratives. The program emphasizes the production of a Major Film, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a substantial project assessed through a combination of coursework and practical execution. The Major Film Concept module supports students in developing and refining their ideas, encouraging experimentation, creativity, and professional-level project planning. Technical Specialisms modules allow students to deepen their expertise in specific areas of filmmaking, such as cinematography, editing, sound design, or visual effects, fostering both versatility and specialization.
