COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Design (Fashion) program combines creativity, critical thinking, and research to help students explore fashion as a tool for innovation and positive change. The course consists of three core modules: Creative Design and Positionality, Design Lab: Synthesis and Manifesto (Fashion), and Methods for Research and Practice. Through these modules, students develop a deep understanding of their own creative identity and positionality within the global fashion landscape. The program emphasizes ethical, sustainable, and experimental approaches to fashion design, encouraging students to address pressing social, cultural, and environmental challenges through their work. The Design Lab module allows students to synthesize their learning into a personal design manifesto and create a distinctive body of work that reflects their vision and critical awareness. Meanwhile, the research and methods component equips them with essential academic and practical tools for design investigation, documentation, and reflection. The program promotes collaboration and interdisciplinary learning, helping students refine both conceptual and technical skills.
