COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM Global Human Rights and Social Justice in Practice program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines foundational theory with applied learning to develop practical expertise in the field of human rights. The core modules, Contemporary Issues in Global Human Rights and Social Justice and Foundations of Human Rights, provide a solid grounding in key legal principles, ethical debates, and current global challenges such as inequality, discrimination, and governance. Students can tailor their studies through a range of elective modules that address specialized areas, including Environmental Rights, Sustainability and Climate Justice, Gender, Equality and Discrimination, Global Health and Human Rights, and Refugee Rights. These modules allow students to explore how human rights law operates in addressing real-world issues such as climate change, migration, and public health. Learners also have the option to undertake either an Applied Project or a Dissertation, both designed to enhance research and professional practice skills. The program emphasizes practical assessment methods that prepare students for careers in advocacy, policy development, and international law.
