COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology program provides a comprehensive education in both legal and criminological studies, preparing students for careers in the justice system, policy, and related sectors. In the first year, students gain a strong foundation in criminal law, contract law, applied crime, rights and justice, and introduction to law and legal practice, combining coursework, exams, and practical exercises to develop analytical and professional skills. The second year builds on this foundation with modules in land law, tort law, the law of trusts, and legal environments and professional skills, with opportunities to study abroad to gain an international perspective on law and criminology. In the final year, students complete professional practice experience and select from a range of electives including business law, commercial law, criminal justice theories, employment law, family law, immigration law, intellectual property law, international criminal law, international human rights, law and medicine, law of evidence, public interest law, public international law, and sports law. The program emphasizes critical thinking, ethical reasoning, research, and practical application of legal and criminological knowledge, equipping graduates with the skills, experience, and understanding necessary to succeed in diverse legal and justice-related careers globally.
