COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Honours) Events Management program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to excel in the diverse and fast-paced events industry. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through modules on applied academic skills, creating and marketing experiences, events and festival industry concepts, and finance and data interpretation, developing essential skills in planning, communication, and analysis. The second year emphasizes applied learning and professional development, covering areas such as conference, exhibition, and business events, event operations and safety management, experiential marketing, and weddings and luxury events. Students also have opportunities for study abroad, foreign language learning, and workplace-based learning, providing global perspectives and real-world exposure. The third year typically involves a sandwich placement, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in live event environments and apply their academic knowledge in professional settings. In the final year, students consolidate their expertise with advanced modules in hot topics in events, festivals, and esports, live event experience, and managing outdoor, sporting, cultural, and creative events. Elective modules, including strategic experience design and further language studies, allow for specialisation and creativity. By combining academic study, professional practice, and applied projects, the program prepares graduates for careers across music, sports, cultural, business, and luxury event sectors.
