COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Honours) Real Estate program is a four-year course designed to prepare students for professional careers in real estate, property investment, development, and management, with an emphasis on sustainability and strategic decision-making. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through modules such as Fundamentals of Buildings and Inspection, Introduction to the Built Environment, Sustainability, Law and Economics, and Valuation Concepts, gaining essential knowledge of property, construction, and the economic and legal factors affecting the built environment. The second year focuses on applied skills and market understanding through modules including Global Real Estate Markets, Managing Real Estate, Planning Urban Futures, and Resilient Built Environments, enabling students to analyze market trends, manage property assets, and contribute to sustainable urban development. In the final year, students consolidate their learning and specialize through modules such as Development Management and Climate Action Retrofit Project, Real Estate Strategy and Investment, Research Methods, and a Research Project, developing expertise in property development, investment analysis, strategic planning, and research. Graduates emerge equipped with the technical knowledge, practical experience, and professional skills required to succeed in diverse real estate roles across private, public, and consultancy sectors while promoting sustainable and innovative approaches to the built environment.
