COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Honours) Physics program is a four-year course designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles of physics, combined with practical experience and opportunities to engage with advanced research. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules such as Bridging the Gap from Classical to Quantum Physics, Exploring the Building Blocks of Matter, Physics in Practice, and The Physics of Stars and Beyond, focusing on both theoretical understanding and practical skills for real-world applications. The second year expands on this foundation, covering mechanics, relativity, astrophysics, quantum and computational physics, thermodynamics, and statistical physics, while emphasizing the application of physics principles to solve complex problems. Students also enhance their practical and analytical abilities through coursework that integrates real-world scenarios. In the final year, students delve into advanced topics and applications of physics, completing a structured project that develops skills in management, scoping, and implementation of scientific research. Throughout the program, students gain expertise in experimental design, data analysis, critical thinking, and collaboration, equipping them to pursue careers in research, technology, engineering, education, or further study, and to contribute to innovative solutions in physics and related fields.
