COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Honours) Computer Science program provides students with a comprehensive foundation in computing, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience to prepare for careers in technology and innovation. In the first year, students gain essential skills in programming, databases, web technologies, mathematics, and software project development, establishing a strong base in core computer science principles. The second year builds on this foundation with advanced programming, algorithms and data structures, and professional software projects, alongside elective options such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, game development, cloud computing, mobile applications, and the opportunity for study abroad, allowing students to explore specialized areas and global perspectives. In the final year, students undertake a development project and software architecture and design modules while choosing electives like advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning, contemporary software engineering, functional programming, machine learning algorithms and heuristics, robotics, and secure software engineering. Throughout the program, students gain expertise across the software development lifecycle, developing problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills essential for careers in computing, artificial intelligence, software development, and emerging digital technologies, leaving them well-prepared to innovate and contribute to the evolving tech industry.
