COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Honours) Banking and Finance program equips students with the expertise and practical skills needed to succeed in the dynamic world of global financial services. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through modules in business economics, data analytics for finance and business, fundamentals of finance, and investment risk and taxation, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application to develop quantitative and analytical skills. The second year deepens understanding with core modules in financial management and risk, law, regulation and ethics, and payments, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, alongside elective options such as banking and fintech, cash management and treasury, and fraud analytics. Opportunities for studying abroad provide international exposure and experience in diverse financial environments. In the final year, students focus on advanced topics including corporate finance, investment management and derivatives, contemporary issues in finance, and a consultancy project, which enhances problem-solving, research, and strategic decision-making abilities. Combining theoretical insight, technical skills, and professional experience, the program prepares graduates for careers in banking, investment, financial consultancy, risk management, and fintech, as well as for further postgraduate study in finance and related disciplines.
