COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Honours) Artificial Intelligence and Robotics program equips students with the skills and knowledge to design and implement intelligent robotic systems, combining principles of computer science, artificial intelligence, and engineering. In the first year, students build a foundation in analogue and digital electronics, mathematics, computational methods, programming for computer science, and professional engineering practice, establishing both theoretical understanding and practical skills. The second year deepens technical expertise with modules on advanced programming, algorithms and data structures, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and an industrial group embedded system project, offering hands-on experience in real-world problem-solving. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad in computing and digital technologies to broaden their global perspective. In the final year, students advance their understanding through modules in advanced robotics, automation, machine vision, sensor fusion, and artificial intelligence and machine learning, alongside a development project that combines practical and coursework elements. Elective modules such as machine learning algorithms and heuristics and secure software engineering allow students to specialise further. The program integrates theoretical knowledge, applied skills, and industrial experience, preparing graduates for careers in robotics, AI engineering, autonomous systems, and related technology sectors, or for further study and research in cutting-edge areas of artificial intelligence and robotics.
