COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) Marketing course offers a comprehensive program that combines theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world experience to prepare students for careers in marketing, branding, and business strategy. In the first year, students build foundational skills through modules such as Contemporary Marketing, Foundations of Business, Foundations of Marketing, and Understanding People and Cultures, exploring the principles of marketing, consumer behaviour, and business operations. The second year expands this knowledge through Creative Brand Management, Managing Business and Financial Performance for Marketers, and Professional Development for the Marketer, while offering elective modules such as Experiential Marketing Events, Foreign Languages, Study Abroad – Sheffield Business School, The Corporate Customer, and The Digital Customer Experience, enabling students to gain international exposure and develop specialist skills. The third year includes a sandwich placement, providing professional industry experience and practical application of marketing knowledge. In the final year, students consolidate their expertise through advanced modules such as Consultancy Project in Marketing, Customer Insights and Sustainable Innovation in Marketing Strategy, Strategy in the Global and Digital Environment, alongside electives like Consumer Psychology, Contemporary Leadership in Context, and Marketing in a Global Context. Graduates leave with strong analytical, strategic, and creative skills, equipped for careers in marketing, advertising, brand management, digital marketing, market research, and other business-related fields, or for further postgraduate study.
