COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) International Business with Spanish course combines comprehensive study of international business with the development of advanced Spanish language skills, preparing students for global careers in multicultural environments. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules such as Contemporary International Business, Foundations of Business, Business & Culture in Spanish-Speaking Societies, and Foreign Language (Spanish), blending theoretical study with practical language learning. The second year expands understanding of international business through modules like Global Entrepreneurship, Managing Across Borders, Work & Life in Spanish-Speaking Societies, continued Spanish language study, and a Study Abroad – Languages module, providing immersive experience and enhancing cultural competence. The third year includes a sandwich placement, giving students professional experience in a real-world business setting and opportunities to apply both business knowledge and language skills. In the final year, students consolidate learning through Advanced International Business, Consultancy Project in International Business, Contemporary Debates in Spanish-Speaking Societies, and continued Spanish language development, focusing on strategic practice, applied research, and professional communication. Across the program, students develop analytical, problem-solving, and intercultural skills, alongside fluency in Spanish. Graduates leave with a strong combination of business expertise, language proficiency, and practical experience, ready for careers in international trade, consultancy, management, marketing, or further postgraduate study.
