COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) International Business with French course integrates international business study with the development of advanced French language skills, preparing students for careers in global and multicultural environments. In the first year, students build a foundation through modules such as Contemporary International Business, Foundations of Business, Business & Culture in French-Speaking Societies, and Foreign Language (French), combining theoretical knowledge with practical language learning. The second year expands students’ expertise through modules like Global Entrepreneurship, Managing Across Borders, Work & Life in French-Speaking Societies, continued French language study, and a Study Abroad – Languages module, offering immersive international experience and enhancing cross-cultural understanding. In the third year, students gain practical industry experience through an undergraduate sandwich placement, applying their business knowledge and language skills in a professional setting. The final year consolidates learning through advanced modules such as Advanced International Business, Consultancy Project in International Business, Contemporary Debates in French-Speaking Societies, and continued French language study, focusing on strategic business practice, research, and professional communication. Across the program, students develop analytical, problem-solving, and intercultural competencies, alongside professional proficiency in French, enabling them to navigate international business environments effectively. Graduates leave with a strong combination of language skills, global business knowledge, and practical experience, ready for careers in international trade, consultancy, management, or further postgraduate study.
