COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) Business Management and Finance program is structured over four years to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both management and finance, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills and professional experience. In the first year, students establish foundational knowledge through modules including Contemporary Business Management, Foundations of Business, Introduction to Finance, and Understanding People and Cultures, developing analytical, financial, and cultural awareness skills. The second year builds on this foundation with core modules such as Accounting Performance for Decision Making, Applied Business Management Practices, and Principles of Management Decision Making, alongside a range of electives including Developing Your Business Idea, Foreign Languages, Global Climate Emergency, Managing Operations and the Supply Chain, and Study Abroad opportunities, allowing students to tailor their learning to career aspirations. The third year focuses on professional development through the Undergraduate Sandwich Placement Applied Professional Diploma, providing hands-on industry experience and practical insight into real-world business environments. In the final year, students consolidate their learning with core modules including the Consultancy Project in Business Management, Corporate Reporting and the Audit Environment, and Strategy in the Global and Digital Environment, alongside electives such as Consumer Psychology, Dynamic Issues in International Business, and Social and Environmental Accounting. This structure equips graduates with strong analytical, financial, strategic, and leadership skills, preparing them for careers in management, finance, consultancy, and global business, while providing a foundation for further study.
