COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) Business Economics program is structured over four years to provide a strong foundation in economic theory alongside practical business applications. In the first year, students develop essential skills through modules such as Data Analysis for Economics and Business, Maths for Economics, Principles of Micro and Macro Economics, and Understanding People and Cultures, all assessed through coursework to build analytical, quantitative, and cultural awareness capabilities. The second year deepens understanding of economic systems and business strategy with compulsory modules including Economic Analysis and Policy, Multinational Enterprises and Foreign Direct Investment, and Principles of Management Decision Making, complemented by optional modules such as Alternative Perspectives in Economics, Cyber Crime, Fraud Analytics, Global Climate Emergency, and Study Abroad opportunities, allowing students to tailor their learning and gain international experience. The third year focuses on professional development through the Undergraduate Sandwich Placement Applied Professional Diploma, offering practical work experience in business and economics environments. In the final year, students consolidate their expertise with advanced modules such as Advanced Issues in Economics, Behavioural Economics, Consultancy Project, and Strategy in the Global and Digital Environment, combining coursework and exams to develop critical thinking and strategic decision-making skills. The program equips graduates with a versatile skill set, blending economic analysis, business insight, and professional experience, preparing them for careers in economics, finance, consultancy, and global business.
