COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) Accounting and Finance program is structured to provide a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional experience across four years. In the first year, students build foundational expertise through compulsory modules in Business Economics, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Financial Management, and Law, Corporate Governance and Ethics, combining examinations and practical assessments to develop critical analytical skills. The second year deepens technical proficiency with core modules such as Audit and Assurance, Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Management Accounting Applications, alongside a range of elective options including Cyber Crime, Finance in the Digital World, Fraud Analytics, Global Climate Emergency, Organisational Management, and Principles of Tax, allowing students to tailor learning to their interests. The third year focuses on professional development through an Undergraduate Sandwich Placement Applied Professional Diploma, providing practical workplace experience to enhance employability. The final year consolidates knowledge with compulsory modules including the Consultancy Project and Corporate Reporting and Governance, while offering a variety of elective modules such as Accounting for Sustainable Development, Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting, Corporate Finance, Enterprise Management, Forensic Accounting Techniques, Forensic and Fraud Examination, Social and Environmental Accounting, and Strategic Management Accounting.
